Budget is next to the Embassy Suites LAX Airport NORTH, and a block from the Crowne Plaza & the Sheraton Gateway. Across the street from Budget you'll also find the Four Points Sheraton, the Renaissance Montura, & Marriott LAX Airport.
That Budget also has a shuttle that will take you to and from local hotels. I have stayed a couple of the hotels on that stretch of Century Blvd (Marriott, Hilton) and it was convenient to both. Even without the shuttle, it's really only a short walk, and I have always thought that area safe.
