That's a good point... especially with a creative/indirect routing...

Did one of those in feb... to the US via Asia - mainly in C.... back in Y+ on NZ for not much more than the straight Y+ return..

Liked it so much i've booked something similar for June.... (which was going to include AC's South American tango.....)
