DL has no reason to change the course it is on as long as it is reducing capacity at the same rate it is driving customers away. They can still have very high load factors while losing formerly loyal pax. Until they reach the point that they can't sell their profitable international seats or can't get people on the domestic feeder flights for those money-makers, they feel like they can join the race to the bottom along with UA and US. So stopping or reversing the profligate devaluation of SkyMiles, getting some decent IT to make the website work properly (thus allowing customers to avoid the phone fees,) and all the other things that would keep most Fter's business with DL don't matter to DL yet. By the time they do matter, DL will be in real trouble again.
