Just checked with UA reservations and they said they can't price these awards until Wednesday but did get an update. That 100* to Europe from Aus is valid in either direction, but agree it is well worth the extra 20K to go up to Business on a flight that long. They said they will be checking a lot of routings as they come up to see if they fit the rules but were certain that SIN is NOT valid from the US to Australia. They said there are limitations on crossing from one region to another, like Japan to an Asia region is OK but that Japan to Australia probably is not OK. So there are still limitations but it is FAR better than we used to have. BIG problem is now figuring out where to go with so many more options...nice problem though and just glad UA finally has their awards up.
