And this is precisely why the remainder of your suggestion (meeting, actual dialogue, etc.) simply will not happen. Save SkyMiles and the meetings related thereto didn't happen because FTers posted, or because they ask for meetings, it was (and the historymakers are reading this I suspect) bad media plus demonstrable impact on some key indicator (seats not bought, SkyMiles held, etc.). And it was not just FTers.

And perhaps most important of all, it all happened on one day. This slowly taking things away approach while giving "givebacks" that are anything but will make it impossible to form any cohesive campaign against this.
