SanDiego1K: While I certainly agree with you, I think you are missing the point. The point is that - as I just confirmed above - if I asked nicely, I could get my coveted miles. While it is only 500 miles, it's worth it to me to make copies and send out a quick letter. Another example of an 'inconvience' to get more miles.
