If a Premier member is travelling in C, and a family member is travelling with them in Y, can the Premier member use their status to put the passenger in Y, in E+? If yes, if they are on 2 different PNRs, can it be done beforehand, or only at the airport at check in?
thanks

I don't believe it will happen if they are on two different PNR's. The second person has no status if it's a different PNR. Not sure how it would work if you were on the same PNR and sitting in E+ and upgraded, but the assumption would be they can stay.
If it's a different PNR, they never would have been able to get a seat up in E+
