I checked my monopod once, and either the ground handlers at FLL or the dockside handlers when I got on my cruise mishandled my bag t the point that they snapped off the head from the top. From now on, it gets carried on. I have a Lowepro toploader that I might be able to atach it to, or worst case I can go back to my old Canon gadget bag.
