As I have an option of staying either in Tokyo or Seoul for a weekend (I'll be working in Tokyo on Thursday, then I have 4 days to myself, and then again in Seoul on Tuesday), where would you say is the preferred city to stay for the weekend? Should I split between Tokyo and Seoul (Friday in Tokyo, and Saturday in Seoul) or do one or the other? I have been to Tokyo before and was not impressed with the nightlife. Really all I am looking for is a couple of nice bars to go to, have some drinks and go home, nothing more.

Hotel recommendations based on proximity to the sightseeing, nightlife, service would also be appreciated.
