Neat Receipts uses a Plustek scanner. What you are paying for is their software. I actually have used plustek scanners for years and they are very reliable and durable. I can't speak to the NR software, but any program that scans to PDF (the plustek software suite MAY have this software). I don't use the Plustek suite, just the driver for a Goldmine related application.
