I appreciate BAEC (Nicci in particular) taking time out to sort this issue out for those affected. That effort alone does not, however, change the fact that ANY changes which affect the loyalty earnings within the scheme should only be made with widely distributed advanced notice. As was mentioned earlier, not all BAEC members are FTers, and some may be right now changing their travel plans unnecessarily.

On a lighter note, there will always be a degree of imbalance within any loyalty awards system. As a direct result, there will always be 'mileage runs' or the equivalent - even if it simply means booking a special offer simply because it offers good value for maintaining status.
