Someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't UAL require folks to have a college degree if they wanted to apply for a flight attendant job until just a few years ago, when they didn't have enough applicants for the jobs? Or, if it wasn't a requirement, wasn't it highly preferred?

And seeing how the kids at the McDonald's around here get around $8 an hour, a starting flight attendant ain't making much more than that!
