P.S. If so, these short half hour trips yielding 1000 miles is AWESOME! Do you people try to get more of these?

Short answer, every EXP/PLAT will get 1000 Miles on every AA codes flight...... ALso, the base will be the actual flown, bonus includes status bonus, Class of service bonus, and "round up to 500 Miles" all in one number. So just know what total to expect, and look at that field.
