I have not flown AA since high school (and at the time I don't think I ever signed up for an account).

Last week I got put on an AA flight for work with about 2 hours notice. I barely had time to make it to the airport, not to mention sign up for an account.

Today I got a new account and it doesn't look like I can get credit for the flight I flew last week. Is this correct? Most other airline programs I'm party to will allow a new member to get retroactive credit within a few days. I've searched and can't find anything explicitly addressing this.
