Totally with abmj-jr on this. I have no professional use for a gun (thank goodness); but grew up playing with all kinds of them. I've fired weapons, killed things, done things as a kid that make me cringe when I think back, blah blah blah, learned (over time), a healthy respect for guns.

I just cannot fathom why, absent a threat, a responsible person would chamber a round in a cockpit. In fact, I'd classify anybody that did so as an idiot undeserving of the right to own a gun. If the FFDO program endorses or condones this, I'm even less enthusiastic about it than before.
Because if a threat presents itself it's too late to pull the pistol and chamber a round. It takes too long.

As for your classification, you need to go check with every LEO and military force on the planet and they'll all tell you that your classification system is tactical suicide, as no one carries like this.
