Totally with abmj-jr on this. I have no professional use for a gun (thank goodness); but grew up playing with all kinds of them. I've fired weapons, killed things, done things as a kid that make me cringe when I think back, blah blah blah, learned (over time), a healthy respect for guns.

I just cannot fathom why, absent a threat, a responsible person would chamber a round in a cockpit. In fact, I'd classify anybody that did so as an idiot undeserving of the right to own a gun. If the FFDO program endorses or condones this, I'm even less enthusiastic about it than before.

Apparently you have absolutely no idea how firearms are designed.I carry a gun every singe day, and everyone I work with carries a gun every single day. Every single gun has a round in the chamber. The FFDO was absolutely carrying his gun in the correct condition.... loaded with one in the chamber.

Go find a police officer where you live. Assuming you are not in Israel, ask him if there is a round in the chamber. Im pretty sure I can answer for all the officers in the USA.... the answer is YES.
