If I don't want to have to check baggage, then I mail a box home. Otherwise I just bring a very lightweight (but surprisingly sturdy) duffle that I own which has a zipper, but no other "construction" or corners, so it folds into a very small space. Could do the box thing inside the duffle mentioned above, but haven't had to up to now.
