Also funny are the ones who apparently have no idea how an X-ray works ... like the guy whose bin contained a neatly folded jacket with a pair of shoes beneath it, and (perfectly centered beneath the sole of each shoe) an oversized bottle of lotion. Guess he thought we wouldn't spot them, heh! Wrong!

Personally, I think people should get at least a slap on the wrist for such stunts, and I suppose I could call a supervisor and make them sweat a little, but usually our lines are so backed up that I just take what's not allowed and send them on their way.
Just to clarify something, you do mean that you took the item after the passenger "voluntarily surrendered" the item?

Oh, and your brethren at FLL still have signs up saying lighters are prohibited. Is that part of the "you can't professionalize unless you federalize" mantra?
