Interesting because they do have that 4 hour rule about checking bags. i.e. If you get to the airport at Noon for a 5PM departure, you have to wait an hour to check bags.
This happens to us often, because my family will be at RSW, Mr. BHH and I fly UA, parents fly US, brother/wife fly NW (or whatever cheapest!)
