I agree. If the F lavs were operational and I was 'in pain' I'd hope I'd be able to use them - even if I was in Y. And it is strange that the OP talks about being in 'distress' - but also wanted more to drink. When I'm in that state, I don't want to think about liquid intake or even watch someone else drink.

I'm ok with the compensation - the plane should be made ready for a long flight. That obviously didn't happen - but it wasn't the end of the world. And as others have alluded to, unless the OP ruined an expensive piece of clothing I can't see where more compensation would be justified.
