Uh, maybe they switched their supposedly mission-critical communications from an unlicensed, free-for-all, all-comers-welcome frequency band (Wi-Fi), to a licensed frequency; what the FCC intended for that type of thing.
Or maybe that "critical airport communications" thing was all BS, and they just didn't like the competition. Nah, that couldn't be, could it?
