I believe I read in a recent thread (rhyming not intended!) that UA's new meal voucher policy is that the pax. is not due a meal voucher unless a complimentary meal in passenger's booked class of service was scheduled for that flight, and values of said voucher being a max. of $15.00 (so OP got the max allowed, period, and then only on a dinner flight) exceptions are obviously booked C or F, where meals are usually scheduled, period. As you were on a CRJ, you, per United's new policy (don't shoot the messenger) were not technically supposed to have received a voucher. I'm guessing an exception was made due to your 1K status. Vouchers are also issued for when an overnight op. cancellation/mx. is involved. Anybody remember where I saw this?
