When I book through avisba.com using my Avis Preferred ID the miles post to my BAEC account with zero. (It actually posts with "0").

Both Avis and BA continue to give me the runaround pointing me at either BA or Avis to fix it. In the meantime I have fixed it myself and the solution was SIXT.
