Just booking a rental car for my Florida hols in August, picking up at ATL. Strangely on avisba.com they are charging more to prepay NOW rather than pay at the rental station
I always thought pre-paying (and on-line as well) got you a discount for most things as effectively the company is getting the cash way up front of their expenditure.
For example, on avis.ba, a 14 day rental of a group C car in August is £256 if I pay on-line now, or £228 if I wait and pay at the rental station on return.
Why would anyone pay upfront now?? - or is this a bug of some sort?
