That's a restore image, and not the same as a clean install disk. With clean install disks, you can repair Vista if individual files get corrupted. You can't do that with a backup restore -- it will just take you back in time to the point where you made the restore.
I have, conservatively, 40 or 50 programs installed on my laptop. I don't want to have re-install all of them if something goes awry in Vista (and it has in the past).
