Failure to get missing mileage credit from Air New Zealand
I flew on J on ANZ LAX-AKL-BNE SYD-AKL-LAX back in Dec/Jan. I booked through AmEx Travel. Seems my MP number was a single digit incorrect on my reservation, and I failed to catch the error until I realized that I didn't get the roughly 19,000 miles I should see in my acct.
I contacted UA, Amex, and NZ. Short of it is, I don't have all of my boarding passes. I have copies of the flight record, and a letter from NZ to UA confirming that I did indeed travel.
UA tells me that NZ is denying me the flight credit, and NZ tells me that they are happy to confirm to UA that I flew and that UA needs to credit me. Amex has been in the middle and has tried to contact both parties to no avail.
Any other thoughts? I'm much more versed in AAdvantage than MP. It would seem an easy thing to just put some courtesy miles in my acct if they can't seem to verify all this to their satisfaction.
