For the OP: I don't anyone going to the JAX area avoiding it simply because of the things you mentioned.
I am also confused. If they are getting rid of the terminal in 2009, why recommend avoiding JAX for 22 months?

I haven't been there since leaving my ship and the Navy in Mayport, but if I have a need to be in the area, it seems a bit far to drive from Daytona.
