I didn't check the specific flights but when I was in LIH 2 weeks ago, the LAX flight was arriving at 5:45 so I assumed 5:45 - 8:45 (you said you had 3 hours) would put you primarily in the dark as sunset is around 7 these days. But at 4, you should have time to run up there...
