Hej Larsemil. I take it you are Swedish with that handle

I do this exact trip frequently.

In general. You leave from CPH T3 which usually has two lines for BA check-in. From what I've seen the wait can be anything up to 30 minutes on the Euro Traveller fast bag drop. BA flights depart from Pier A, 99% it will be gate A14. This is a seperate pier for Non-Schengen flights hence passport control lines are minimal.

1. Yes. If it is the same PNR (All one booking) you will be able to select seats for the LHR - JFK sector too. Should be able to grab a good seat. Try to get a seat in the exit row for leg room. Remember that JFK immigration is a killer and if you are in Economy, expect to wait 1 hour.

2. www.seatexpert.com is also useful.

3. Varies. www.seatcounter.com is free tool to give you an idea of how many seats are sold in what class. Once you learn how to decipher all the fare buckets you can get a fairly good idea of the load. My experience is that the load is over 80% on the JFK flights, while EWR has been around 30% the last two sectors.

4. Meal selection is available in MMB. Chosing a special meal does however kill any chances of an Operational Upgrade.

5. Bags will be checked all the way. If the CPH - LHR flight is delayed 30 minutes or more, there is a big risk your luggage wont make it. If that happens, go to BA Arrivals and claim your 75USD Visa.

6. As others have said: No one has done this yet.

7. No points, but around 2000 miles total for the entire journey.

8. Smile, enjoy BA for what it is, and give plenty of time to get to JFK (2 hours) when flying home.

Lycka till
