Recently flew CI business class TPE-ANC-JFK and found the service to be quite good. Woke up in the middle of the night, asked for something to eat and got a plate of hot fried noodles and a cup of clear beef broth, all nicely presented on real china. As far as the foods are concerned I have no complaints.

Agree that the seats are old and need to be replaced. CI products in general are a couple generations behind the industry leader SQ. While CI is still flying trans-pacific with 7 across reclining seats, SQ had already moved on to 4 across full flats. I understand that CI prices are much cheaper, but at some point you begin to wonder if you are not better off flying SQ economy or BR deluxe class.
