As someone who spent a few months at the W, it's a lovely property. Yes, it's off the beaten path, but for me, i don't spend a lot of time in my room so it's not an issue. I too worked just on the opposite side of the bridge and the commute never took me more then 15 minutes.

Every once in a while traffic can be an issue, but it's rare once you're on the bridge.

To get to Sun, it takes me just as long from the W as it does from downtown Palo Alto.
