I generally stay in DoubleTrees or Hiltons and have the idea that Hampton Inn is the budget brand. I can't therefore reconcile the difference in price (nor the increased Hampton rate) - I guess that this may be due to the influx of graduation guests travelling for the same purpose as we are?
That Hampton charges that because they believe that they can get away with it, based upon the number of business people needing hotel rooms in that area. It is almost always consistantly priced at $200+ on a weekday. A nd I guess that they are right, because if they weren't selling the rooms I'd think that they'd be out of business by now.

Definately go with the D-Tree, which was just newly remodeled as mentioned above.
