So you
chose to live over 200 miles from LHR and then complain it costs you quite a lot to get there, in time and money.

I live 30 miles from Heathrow, it is effectively my local airport, so I think I am justified in having a moan about a potential charge that is supposedly designed to encourage use of public transport if that is not a viable option.
So one of your solutions is that I fly from another airport, which would require a longer car journey = more pollution ...
