I cannot comment on a standby situation who you would deal with, but I would avoid it! Unless you are sure there will be extra room, you will be very low in status on an award ticket. I don't think you're technically allowed to stand by for an award ticket - except by showing up at the airport and trying to get on an earlier flight.

For any schedule change, you need to go to AS. They hold the reservation. If you call CX, they will refer you to AS.
