Slow down there.
Whilst Newcastle's EK service may be doing well I suggest they shall have to wait a long time yet for a daily 777 on the route then another few years for a double daily A330 route.

EK have a history in the regions of expanding their routes step by step.Take GLA for instance.The service started in April 2004 and was an instant success with a daily A330 regularly full in J. GLA had to wait till December 2006 for the introduction of the 777-3 service. Goods loads especially in J are being reported and rumours abound of the service going double daily for better onward connections to Australia, although nothing has been officially announced as yet. They usually revert back to the A330 when going double daily.

So I suggest that Newcastle may well go to a daily 777 in the next couple of years but shall have to wait a long time till they go double daily, if at all.
