Noticed this on the CX website:
New check-in counter closing time at London Heathrow Airport
Effective from 30 March 2008, check-in counters for Cathay Pacific flights departing from London Heathrow Airport will close 1 hour prior to the scheduled departure time. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport 2.5 hours before departure for all formalities to be completed.
London Heathrow Terminal 5 will be open on 27 March 2008. Some airlines will be changing their check-in locations progressively. If you have a connecting flight at Heathrow, please check the terminal number from the flight information signage on arrival.
Anyone know why this is necessary? Can't imagine it's because of T5 since T5 activities shouldn't affect departure of CX flights if you are boarding in LHR?
