Thanks for all the responses. I'll need to check on the film speed later. I'm taking a class on photography and I will ask my instructor on Monday. We are only getting 1 roll of film for the project and we will be taking photos all week long so I will not want to take all 24 shots in SFO and rewind the film. The film is already loaded into the camera. I will ask the TSA to hand check my camera bag, I don't want to damage my film.

I'm taking my camera on the trip because I think I can get some good views of Mt. Rainer and San Francisco from the air, just not 24 shots worth. Just to clarify, black and white photography is old and outdated. I am not good enough at it for my photography to be considered a form of art. I've made a few prints but only a few are good.

How much extra time would it take for the TSA to give me a hand check of my camera? I want to get to SEA to catch the arrival of the first VX flight so I want to plan my enter security time correspondingly.
