I had pre assigned seats too 1A & C on FRA-BHX 2 weeks ago. LH reservations had given us those as we were travelling with the baby. When we got to SFO to check in for the SFO-FRA leg, the agent checked us in for both legs and the boarding passes gave us 4A & C.

I queried this as I had the printed checkmytrip itinerary with me and insisted on being moved back. She couldn't do it and gave us 2D & F instead. When I looked at the BP's I found it strange that we had lost our pre-assigned seats as we were SEQ 001, 002 and 003!

It was a good job that I had insisted on being moved back as it turned out that row 4 was in Y!

Anyway we checked out the occupants of row 1 and there was no obvious reason why they should have been there.

One thing that I had noticed on a previous FRA-BHX was that there was a couple of deadheading LH Cargo pilots in C, could that have been a reason for moving us out of row 1?
