International Trip Luggage Size Leniency
I noticed that the checked luggage for Air Canada has a combined linear dimension maximum of 62 inches. I measured my luggage bag (26x30x9) and discovered it is 65 inches if you include the wheels (it's actually 62 if you neglect the wheels and handles). How lenient are they in allowing an oversize of 3 inches to pass? Or will I be charged the oversize baggage fee of $120 for an international flight? Will they actually take out a tape measure at check-in and measure my dimensions? BTW, the luggage bag is a soft type, not the hard case type. Thanks!
