So you don't have to be an Ameriprise client to appy, much less be approved?

I notice that the issuer is Juniper/BarclayCard, cobrand with Ameriprise, and branded MasterCard World Elite.

Just a warning if you are not a fan of Juniper/Barclayscard customer service -- I certianly am not of HSBC Card Services.

So far only the Saks version give extra rewards if spend at Saks -- all the other World Elite rewards programs don't offer select category spend rewards.
