Here is my experience from DEL airport :
I flew AGR DEL on IT (very nice flight, service...) then arrived at DEL International (this was written everywhere) airport before 6pm , then picked up lugagges, went out from terminal and realized 1O minutes later that this was in fact domestic terminal and domestic/international terminals are 13 km distance each others..then went back into domestic terminal, paid a prepaid taxi (had to pay an extra fee for a new “highway”) then arrived in DEL International around 6.30pm. A guy took our luggages on a trolley and asked “when is your flight”. I answered my flight was during the night, leaving at 01.20 am (AF147), “then you have to wait in this lounge”. A lounge? Ok, i said (i dont have any status on any airlines and was flying coach of course). But only to find out that this lounge was in fact a waiting room (with a cheap fee) but full of rubbish...i said no, i am not going to pay anything just to wait in the middle of rubbish, it would be the same thing if i wait in the street.
So i said to the guy who was still in charge of my trolley, “thanks but i will handle this myself”.
So i crossed back “the street which was also full of rubbish ” and head toward International terminal so that i can enter the airport building itself, but got denied entering it as my flight was only in 6 hours....I now begin to get mad, even if usually i am quite patient...
BTW you do not have the right to enter the apt building because your flight is too late, but still there are military people and apt staff seating in seats (doing nothing but waiting) that could suits me...
Now begins my interminable waiting outside DEL airport...in the middle of rubbish and of hundreds of people doing the same thing as me, waiting...
3 hours later, it is now almost 10pm, i asked the guy who first denied me to enter if it was ok, “yes he said”...but you have to take the queue from the very beginning....i am french and there is no way for me to queue from the begining where as i am waiting 3metters from it for 3 hours....i finally got in the building
Now i have to queue for X ray check....then i can queue for check in (i already did OLCI), then i can queue for clearing immigration (quite long and disorganized, still in the middle of rubbish), then can queue for handluggages checks and “stripsearch”, then can queue for entering men bathroom (not lucky as a poor Indian guy was trying to clean them) and now i can wait something like 2 extra hours in the boarding room (AF147 is now late).
It is now time to queue for boarding (remember it is a 744), and another queue just before boarding aircraft....
Captain was outside his plane, checking everything was alright....i never saw this before.
I am now seating on the upper deck and Captain now announces “there is someone who did not show up, so we have to take out his luggages (which i understand) and finally take off with 30/45 minutes late...which i do not care as i am not in transit after arriving in CDG. But i am already thinking about clearing immigration with PAF in CDG...

So i was in DEL apt at 6.30 pm had to queue something like 8 differents lines.
Everywhere in DEL, you can read “ A NEW WORLD CLASS AIPORT AWAIT YOU”

Please let me laugh....And last thing i now remember is an Indian guy in CDG when we were boarding AF148 , saying “lines are always very long in CDG...” PLEASE LET ME LAUGH PART 2....Who said CDG was the worst airport?
