Last night I stayed at the Raleigh/Durham HGI Airport. First of all, apparently two high school basketball teams were staying there and running up and down the halls, slamming doors and doing the things typically teenagers do. I had to call down to the front desk to get it all to stop because it was 1030pm and I needed some sleep. This is in addition to the fact that their wireless really stinks there as I couldn't get anything better than a "very low" signal. However the worst part came this morning when I was subjected to a VERY COLD shower. I turned that dial all the way up to hot and it was still ice cold. So when I got down in the lobby all of the others in my group said they had cold showers too. Of course people were at the desk complaining, but I figured I would just write the Diamond Desk when I got home and they would take care of it. Well MUCH to my surprise mid-morning I got an email from the front desk manager (unsolicited of course) apologizing for the problem and notifying me they would comp my room. Now I have to give props where props are due in that being a Diamond member, they didn't wait to have me complain and took care of the problem.
