I did broke up with a girl once over "travel preferences". I am a firm believer of travelling in style and luxury. To me travel is precious R&R, I don't insist on Four Seasons every night or flying F all the time, but I would rather stay home than stay in dormitories or crash in the train station. This girl on the other hand believes in "quantity over quality". If it's up to her she would stay in hostels every night and survive on bread and water alone so she can use the money saved on more bare-boned trips.

Eventually we decided this is not going to work, our views on finance are just too different.
