You may have forgotten last year's thread where many of us (you included) discussed Marriott's new policy government rate policy which disallowed certain contractors, changed the ID policy, and mandated per diem rates. Here's a short version of the policy from the Marriott website: "We introduced new Government per diem rate qualification guidelines in March, 2007. As a result, we now provide you with increased availability and compliance to the GSA per diem rates at our hotels, making it even easier to do business with Marriott. The guidelines include details about who qualifies for Marriott’s Federal, State, and Local Government rates."
