I agree. I was using my card a lot and so I called them for an increase. They said that they only do proactive (or Cap One initiated increases) and would not do it for me. I was a little pissed but couldn't help but give them credit for their clarity on policy (unlike most other cards).
I did contemplate closing the account for a little while but then one day.. low and behold they doubled my limit.
I like them as a company.
