I've just looked again at the KLM website; Under Flying Blue/Partners and seeking out the China Southern page, it states the following at the very bottom of the page:

Comments
¹ On all scheduled flights operated by China Southern you will receive a minimum of 500 FB Miles.
² Miles earned on China Southern will count for the validation of your level. You will receive Miles to use to purchase award tickets.


This seems to suggest that you get both Level AND Award miles. Can anyone confirm this - or is it merely a typo on the KLM website?
