Lucky you re "J" where is that green emoticon when you need it
Only J class I travel these days is the once a year hols, and we missed that last year with moving house.

I guess you are right, regarding the rules, it is an omission, deliberate or otherwise.
I had always taken the check-in definition to include security, since I dont get to the dept lounge without going through it:
Take advantage of Priority check in
Gold membership enables you to speed your way to the departure lounge by using British Airways FIRST and other oneworld® First Class check in desks – regardless of the cabin you’re flying in.
Seems strange when the rules are so explict regarding checkin and lounge access but vague here....

You are right again that at MAN, FT access is via a sticker on the BPass now, it used to be a case of flash the card.
At LHR T1 however the pre flight connections check when arriving from T4 explicitly includes Golds as valid access.
Confusing really especially since T7 JFK is BA owned and operated.

Thanks for the sanity check anyway ^

Farringdon, I had the same assumption, and it was ironic that the staff in that channel were standing around with no-one to process.
That said if its the rules and all, I guess I will keep going to it and not feel too bad if I am ever turned away again...
