I have recently become Gold with BMI. This of course gives me Star Alliance Gold lounge access. I have heard from friends that certain Star Alliance airlines only allow Gold card holders access to lounges if they are on flights to destinations outside of the U.S. That is, if I am flying from ORD (where I live) to SFO, I would not have lounge access with my BMI / Star Alliance Gold card. Is this correct? I understand it varies by airline and by airline agreement with Star Alliance. I thank you in advance for your feedback.
Youīll have access with your BMI Gold card to the UA or US lounges. UA/US FFP members will only have access to the lounges when flying international. Enjoy the benefit.
