Me and the wife flew ATN from JFK-PPT back in June 06 on our honeymoon. Unfortunately at the time AA wasnt a partner to accrue miles with, but I can comment on the service in economy class.

We got exit row seats on our Outbound leg and the flight was maybe 50% full. The service was excellent, food was better than decent and the IFE was not bad either. Flight was delayed 4 hours due to weather, 2 of which we spent sitting on the plane but they served drinks/snacks while waiting on the tarmac.

The return leg was pretty full and our seats were crappy, but at least we were next to each other and had one aisle seat. The service was not as great as the outbound leg, but thats probably because of the full flight and might have had something to do with the fact that we were on our way home after a lovely 2 weeks in Tahiti/Bora Bora.

All said, I would not hesitate to fly ATN if we were ever lucky enough to go back to FP.

Stil hurts to know we missed out on 6200 miles x4!!! Thats almost a r/t domestic ticket! Ah well
