Last month travelled up to SIN on the A380 in economy and as I was travelling with my wife we had seats 74A/B. These seats were extremely comfortable and even seated next to the window, there was no real difficulty getting out. If I were travelling solo I would do what I usually do on the 747 and gett an aisle seat in the centre row.

Definitely travellling in the upper deck is the way to go in terms of getting on and off.
